INFORM to Showcase its Worksite Management System and Supply Chain Optimization Solutions at Modex 2022, Room #C7998 –
INFORM, a leading provider of AI-powered optimization software that
facilitates decision-making, improved processes and resources
management, will present its site management system and
supply chain optimization solutions at Modex2022, March 28-31 at the Georgia World Conference Center in Atlanta, Georgia. INFORM will be located at booth #C7998 and represented by Matthew Wittemeier, Senior Director, International Marketing & Customer Relations at INFORM’s Terminal & Distribution
Center Logistics Division.
Fleet management system and optimization solutions INFORM’S
have gained wide recognition from leading companies
operating in the supply chain. In the fourth quarter of 2021, they
announced that our yard and crane optimizers as well as several
other modules were to be implemented at Norfolk Southern’s terminals in Rossville, Tennessee and Austell, Georgia.
In January, Swiss Port announced the deployment of its shipyard
parcel management system in its new regional parcel center
in Pratteln, Switzerland. This is Swiss Port’s fourth deployment of their
yard management system within its parcel distribution network
centers. Companies in various construction industries
from materials to manufacturing, automotive, and ports and terminals are realizing real benefits from their solutions.
We know that the INFORM site management system and
optimization solutions are powered by AI that is integrated into a
wider digital supply chain (e.g. interfaced with a TMS/WMS).
Compared to trackers or a standard YMS, INFORM’s
algorithms analyze a virtually infinite number of storage, planning,
and real-time allocation decisions and identify the ideal ones
to minimize costs while maximizing the level of service and punctuality
performance. This, in turn, results in lower operating costs, better performance and higher return on investment of sorting operations and
INFORM’s fleet management system delivers the most critical services
performance characteristics for optimal sorting operations. They understand:
• Full transparency of on-site trailers and yard resources
• Faster entry and exit management
• Improved communications between dispatchers, door staff and
hostlers, and fulfillment center workers for a quiet, more
productive work environment
• Standardization of data to support integrated processes.
In addition, the system offers many value-added features
such as the ability to optimize: yard vehicle and hostler operations to reduce fuel and maintenance costs and extend vehicle life; dock door operations by automating routine dock door decisions and freeing up dispatchers to focus on higher value tasks; vehicle punctuality (for example, maximizing on-time departure of outgoing trailers, prioritizing loading/unloading, etc.); prioritization of containers on incoming and outgoing trailers with urgent materials.
