Passionate about the IOTA community Alexander (@shortkatien), author of the Short-Aktien.de blog on peer-to-peer technologies and cryptocurrencies, posted a connect (extension specifically designed for a browser) to give websites the ability to accept payments in IOTA tokens.
Finally my #connect for #WordPress is online. Now anyone can quickly and easily find and install the plugin in the built-in library.

The “Pay with IOTA” plugin is available on the official WordPress site. The plugin uses the IOTA Button feature, which is a ready-to-use open source instrument for retail payments on IOTA.
WordPress from IOTA connect can be installed with just four entries: recipient’s Firefly address, predetermined payout total, currency (provided for convenient calculations, all payouts are in IOTA tokens) and user name or website name .
The plugin can be used for crypto denominated donations as well as a variety of ecommerce instruments.
More retail payment instruments to come
Fans of the IOTA plugin engineer love the concept and suggest future updates. For example, the public wants to know if such an instrument can interact with a wallet like Metamask.
In addition, the developer hinted at possible versions of payment instruments for other traditional CMS environments, Joomla and Drupal.
Many teams around the world are focused on the laser to bring IOTA payments to retail use. As previously covered by U.Today, even fiat gateways could be launched as early as this year.
