New Zealand Bentley Systems software publisher Seequent acquires Minalytix

Bentley Systems announced that its New Zealand-based Seequent business unit has acquired Canadian software company Minalytix, developer of MX Deposit.

The acquisition will expand Seequent’s capabilities and cloud solutions for mining, including new field exploration, resource development and mining production. Seequent held a minority stake in Minalytix prior to the transaction, and its partnership included exclusive worldwide rights to sell MX Deposit.

MX Deposit is a Software-as-a-Service tool that simplifies and controls the way drilling and other field data is collected, managed and shared throughout the lifecycle of a deposit. It allows mining exploration teams to configure solutions for a variety of activities including diamond and percussion drilling, grade control, subsurface sampling, metallurgical sampling, stock sampling and sample grinding circuits.

Mining companies use the MX deposit in conjunction with other geophysical and geological data management and modeling tools to find, develop and manage deposits and enable teams to manage risk and make better decisions.

Seequent is already integrating its Leapfrog, Oasis montaj, Target and Imago solutions with MX Deposit, to help streamline processes and increase efficiency for geologists, engineers and other stakeholders.

“We are delighted to welcome the Minalytix team to Seequent, following our successful collaboration, to expand the mining workflow with new cloud capabilities,” said Graham Grant, CEO of Seequent.

“Drilling and sampling data is the lifeblood of mining companies during exploration, and the MX deposit naturally aligns with our mining and exploration portfolio, including the new imaging platform. geoscientist Imago. We’ve already done a great job of integrating the software, and now we’re excited to be joining the team. “

Minalytix co-founder and CEO David Peres says he’s thrilled to join Seequent as it enables them to fulfill their founding mission to positively impact the mining industry.

“We partnered exclusively with Seequent a few years ago because they had built a reputation as a trusted mining innovator with global reach,” he says.

“As a result, the demand for MX Deposit has increased by leaps and bounds. With the expertise and support of Seequent, MX Deposit will be able to reach its full potential.”
