Sajid Javid opens software company’s new Bromsgrove office

A software developer celebrating 40 years in business has moved to new offices in Bromsgrove.

Vigo Software, which supports over 5,500 users in the transport and logistics industry, has invested £500,000 in its relocation to Topaz Business Park.

And Health Secretary Sajid Javid, who is the MP for Bromsgrove, was recently invited to peek into the 5,000 square foot office that will house Vigo’s growing workforce.

John Vickers, Managing Director of Vigo Software, said, “Our old offices were a series of barn conversions, which was starting to get in the way of team collaboration.

“We needed additional space and a property where we could shape our own environment that enhances the way we work. There are also great features that encourage collaboration, innovation and ensure staff have the opportunity to excel. .”

John added: “The Topaz Business Park offices are all open plan but zoned as a nod to our former Tardebigge base. We have invested in motorized adjustable desks for standing or sitting, installed a professional-grade wifi to facilitate desktop sharing and, most importantly, we now have a “Scrum Technology” space to encourage product development and cross-functional collaboration.

“Initial reactions from everyone who has visited have been excellent.”

Vigo Software has specialized in the logistics software market for 40 years, designing, building and deploying software and technology for the logistics, transportation, warehouse and pallet network markets.

Supported by Birmingham City Council’s ERDF-funded Business Growth Program Grant 2, the company has hired 12 new people and increased revenue by 14% in the past 12 months.

And with new solutions to improve efficiency to be released in 2022, sales are expected to continue to rise to a record £4 million.
