Should I restore my system disk image to fix this software issue or not?

As part of my daily routine of continuously updating my various software using Free Software Update Monitor just for reference i uninstalled and re-downloaded VirusTotalUploader from its developer’s website.

I chose the setup_anycpu.zip compressed file, saved it to my Downloads folder, tested and extracted it to a new subfolder, and ran the VirusTotalUploader.exe file to install the software.

However, before doing so, as it was at the end of the day and I was a little confused and exhausted after installing an optional Windows 10 Version 21H1 preview update, KB5005611.

Who for some reason took A WHOLE HOUR finally, i accidentally manually and permanently deleted the software shortcut on my desktop.

And therefore, after finishing the installation of the software, even checking the corresponding box, it did not NOT create a software shortcut on my desktop, so I had to create one manually.

However, even after completely uninstalling the software with Revo Uninstaller Free Portable and by reinstalling the software, it remained NO software shortcut on my desktop, so I had to recreate it manually.

Nevertheless, as I also have a Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office Essentials disk image just before doing all of this, I am now wondering;

Should I restore my system disk image to fix this software issue or not?

Thank you very much in advance!
